Activities

Forest School sessions are now offered to a different year group each half term. Children must bring in to school a pair of wellies, a waterproof jacket and a hat, scarf and gloves.  We believe that "there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing."

 

 

Activities children have engaged in include:

  • Pond dipping
  • Den building
  • Mud pit 
  • Gardening
  • Mini beast hunting
  • Apple Day- apple bobbing, apple peeling (tool work), counting apples 
  • Bonfire/firework night- science experiment (coke/mints), sparklers
  • Fire cooking - porridge (Goldilocks and the three bears)
  • Spinderella - conker spiders, web making in the willow tree, spider hunting
  • Room on the broom- broom stick making using sticks and logs, story telling, pumpkin fun
  • Stick man- story telling, make a stick family and a home for them
  • Fairy houses - den building and fairy bracelets
