Welcome to Nursery!
Leigh Nursery is a 78 placed nursery consisting of 39 AM (Morning places) and 39 PM (afternoon places). The children within the Nursery are split into 3 family groups each with a key worker. The daily routine of Leigh School Nursery.
Daily Routine
Each day (AM) Nursery starts at 8:30
9:00 – Family group time (Mathematics)
9:30 – Free choice activities/ Adult Led activities
10:30 – Collective worship
10:45 – Family group time (Phonics)
11:15 – Fruit & Milk
11:30 – Home time (AM Children)
12:30 – (PM Nursery Starts)
1:00 – Family group time (Mathematics)
1:20 – Free choice activities/ Adult Led activities
2:30 – Collective worship
2:45 – Family group time (Phonics)
3:05 – Fruit & Milk
3:15 – Home Time (PM Children)
Other Information
All parents are encouraged to bring £1 Nursery Fund – fruit, milk and nursery equipment.
Wednesday – P.E day make sure your children wear appropriate clothes, they are taught by the schools paid P.E instructor.
Book bag Costs £3:50 (a child will bring a book home every Friday!)
School Uniform is available from the schools office and is to be worn here at Leigh.
If you child is ill or NOT available to attend Nursery for any reason, please contact the schools office.
Autumn
We have been super busy this half term in the nursery! We have been exploring different colours, learning about Eid and making pumpkins for Halloween!!
Spring Term
This term nursery have been looking at Rhythm and Rhyme and Nursery Rhymes we looked at a different Rhyme each week and went on a trip to the Library.
We had a story teller come visit Nursery and teach us a range of different rhymes!
