Art and Design is taught as a discreet subject and is aligned with our Curriculum Values.
To pilot our new Art and Design curriculum, in the Autumn term of 2022-23 all Year 1-6 classes will be developing skills and knowledge in Drawing. Our project will involve creating portraits.
Our Art and Design curriculum is based around exploring four key areas: generating ideas, creating, knowledge and evaluating. These key areas will be explored in each Art topic so that children develop an excellent understanding of them by the time they leave Leigh at the end of Year 6.
