Welcome to class 1R where you can read about all the exciting things that we have been doing in school. We have already had a busy and fun start to the term.
On Friday 20th September 2013, Leigh Junior, Infant and Nursery School had their "Jeans for Genes" day. The children were allowed to wear their jeans for a contribution of 50p.

Today Year 1 had their charity day for the charity Age UK. The children donated £1 and were able to wear non-school uniform. They also decorated fairy cakes.

Maths Puzzle Day
Leigh Junior, Infant and Nursery School had their first ever Maths Puzzle Day. The children did a variety of activities and enjoyed learning about puzzles with the Happy Puzzle Company.
Santa's Coming To Town!!!
1R had a chance to meet Santa Claus as he came to visit the children in Leigh Junior, Infant and Nursery School. The children had a lovely time meeting Santa and even got a present from him!
1R visited Harold the giraffe in the Life Education Caravan. The children learnt about being healthy and the different parts of the body.
Today Leigh Primary School celebrated World Book Day in style with a parade and an assembly by Miss Williams and Miss Razaq. Mr Rehman dressed up as Superman, Mrs Patel as a lovely cat and Miss Howkins as Burgular Bill.
1R went for a visit to Ward End Library. They listened to a story from the librarian and also had a look around.
