Leigh Primary School Council

This year to choose who became a class councillor we had to write speeches.

The person with the best speech became school councillor. Unfortunately there was only one councillor from each class and every-one wanted to become a school councillor so there is a class council. This is when all of the classes do something to help improve the school.

They  ask questions of  the School Councillor and make sure that they are doing a good job of representing your class and the things that are important to you.

Your councillor goes to the meetings to represent your class and the ideas that you have discussed and agreed upon. They will explain these to the full School Council for them to think about. If the School Council like the ideas then they will follow them up for you and let you know about any decisions that are made.
