Monday 5th February 2018 - Life Education Caravan
Another successful Year 6 session from the Life Education Caravan team today. Thank you for teaching us about making the right decisions and the effects different types of drugs can have on us.
Tuesday 6th February 2018 - Safer Internet Day
Year 6 have discussed whether photos were either real or fake. It certainly did lead to a great debate!They also looked at what emojis really tell the people reading their messages, whilst creating a poster about how to stay safe online
Wednesday 7th February 2018 - Collective Worship
Year 6 have been looking at the preciousness of sight and the valuable contributions that people can make to help the blind and partially-sighted.
Thursday 8th February 2018 - Maths Challenge
The children in 6P had fun devising mathematical questions in pairs and then worked with another group to solve each other's questions. They tried hard to make the questions challenging - it was good to see the children being competitive with one another!

Today the children in year 6 were practicing a variety of shots in cardio tennis and performing body weight exercises. We were all out of breath by the end!
Tuesday 13th February 2018 - Making Igloos
As part of the 'Express' stage of our Cornerstones topic on Frozen Kingdom, we invited the children's parents in to create igloos for survival in the cold, harsh conditions of the Arctic or Antarctica. The children were also able to talk to their parents about the topic and some of the work they did!
Thursday 14th February 2018 - PSHE: How to be healthy
In PSHE, Year 6 have been looking at ways of living healthily. We designed posters using the facts and information gained from today's lesson about exercise, diet and lifestyle.

In Collective Worship today, Year 6 continued their reflection on the importance of our senses to us. This week, we looked at hearing and in particular how Beethoven was able compose music even though he was deaf!
